OUR HISTORY
After a childhood spent on the “plains,” in close contact with nature, we had a dream in the drawer: to open an agritourism with an attached farm and carry on the passion for the outdoors inherited from our grandfather.
In 2017, our farm, a small, family-owned farm business, was born. Meanwhile, the shabby old family home in
Torsivì
is being renovated and transformed into a cozy facility with solar panels and a photovoltaic system to produce energy in an environmentally friendly way. Thefarmhouse, completed in June 2022, is divided as follows: on the ground floor, overlooking a small lawn, are the breakfast room and a room; on the second floor are 4 rooms, the terrace, and the play area for younger guests.
Torsivì is a locality of theLigurian hinterland, halfway between the sea and the mountains, which possesses the typical characteristics of our hills: the beauty of the landscape immersed in the Mediterranean maquis, with all the typical roughness of this land.
The ideal destination for those who want to unplug and enjoy a relaxing vacation.
THE FARM
The farm covers an area of 1.5 hectares. Our products are grown using traditional techniques while respecting the environment.
OUR PRODUCTS
PDO extra virgin olive oil, from olives that are beaten, hand-picked and pressed on the same day.
Multi-flower honey-we practice beekeeping that prioritizes product quality and the well-being of bees, which are critical to our ecosystem.
Vegetables from the garden: potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, peppers, green beans, beans, melons, watermelons, corn, squash, chard, cabbage, and you name it!
In January 2020, we reclaimed abandoned land and planted a new orchard with peaches, apricots, plums and cherries. We are now beginning to reap the first fruits.
OUR ANIMALS
We have two wonderful little donkeys, Vispa and Tilde, who are very sweet and affectionate, and 20 chickens who give us their eggs every day.
CASTIGLIONE CHIAVARESE AND SURROUNDINGS
Torsivì is a locality in Missano, in the municipality of Castiglione Chiavarese, about a 20-minute drive from Sestri Levante.
We are surrounded by interesting places to discover… We mention only a few of them:
- Archaeological area of San Nicolao di Pietra Colice, where there are the remains of a “pass” hospital that offered shelter to wayfarers passing precisely between Sestri Levante and Lunigiana
- Monte Loreto archaeo-mining site where the oldest copper mine in Western Europe is located (some tunnels can be visited in part)
- Petronio Valley Rural Culture Ecomuseum
- Shrine of Our Lady of the Guard of Velva
- Ciappe di Sotto Caves in the Frascarese Valley
- Ruins of the Old Conio Abbey
- Ancient village of Varese Ligure
From the locality of Torsivì it is also possible to take several trails of the Petronio Valley hiking network that join theAlta via dei Monti Liguri.
